Seeing the Invisible

A Celebration of 50 Years of Jodrell Bank Radio Observatory

The Faulkes Telescope Project is running a themed observing programme in collaboration with Jodrell Bank Radio Observatory, to celebrate the observatory's 50th anniversary.

The theme of the programme is "Seeing the Invisible", and we will be encouraging schools to use the Faulkes Telescopes to image a range of astronomical objects that Jodrell Bank has observed in the radio spectrum during the last 50 years. As well as getting images from the Faulkes Telescopes, radio data will be supplied to participating schools.

Schools taking part will be invited to take a group of students to Jodrell Bank, during the week 8-12 October, to take part in activities relating to the 50th anniversary.
