Sky Charts and Lunar Calendars

Sky Charts and Lunar Calendars

Sky Charts

Each month we will publish 14 sky charts with accompanying object table and example image archive. The first 7 sky charts cover the first half of the month (centred on the 8th) and the remaining 7 sky charts cover the second half of the month (centred on the 21st). Each of the charts show the sky at 2 hourly intervals, from approximately 0400 UT to 1600 UT.

What Can I Observe?

Every now and again something interesting happens in the world of astronomy. Often they require further observations for analysis. We often run specific themed observing days or activities to make these more relevant for teachers and students, but not everybody can take part in these for various reasons. The aim of this page is to inform you of which objects require observations so that you may do them yourselves.
